Meshmixer
Our figures are assembled from multiple parts, which means you can easily remove parts that you don’t like.Here we show you, how to remove the spears from a model to replace them with spears made from wire after printing.
We are going to use the software Meshmixer, that you can download for free.
Import
When you start Meshmixer, you will see the screen below. Click on the “Import” button with the plus symbol and select the file you want to edit. Here we use the PunicInfantryA strip.
Select
Now choose the “Select” tool in the sidebar on the right and double click on the part you want to remove. In this case the spear.
Delete
The part you double clicked should be highlighted in red. Now press the delete key on your keyboard and it will vanish.Repeat this for all figures.
Export
To export your changes click on the "Export" button in the sidebar on the right.
Message
You might get an error message like the one below. This a minor problem with the model, that will not cause any trouble when printing.
